As National Partners and South Island House Heroes, Ray White Canterbury is proud to support the outstanding work of the Ronald McDonald House South Island team. Families travel to Ronald McDonald House South Island’s Christchurch House from all across New Zealand, staying in their 26-bedroom house after long days at Christchurch Hospital (based only a few minutes walk away).
The volunteers and RMHSI team create a truly welcoming environment. With warm rooms, fully stocked kitchens and comfortable areas for usual family activities, it feels like home and removes the stressors of everyday life, so families can focus on what matters most – their child.
Ray White Canterbury supports the Christchurch home with fundraising events, team outings to take part in the family dinner programme and cook off challenges, and gift donations with our Little Ray of Giving.

Family Dinner Programme
Our teams love getting together to cook for the families staying in the Christchurch home. The Family Dinner Programme has different groups and organisations cooking dinner almost every night so families get a good home-cooked meal at the end of each day. House-to-House
Every month, New Zealand families will travel an average of at least 210km for their child to receive hospital treatment away from home.
House to House is a virtual fundraising event which challenges you to support families staying with RMHC New Zealand. In 2022 the Ray White Cantbury team travelled 5,000km on foot, bike, waka ama, and kayak to raise $15,339. Read more here about our team here.
